Saving lives since 1865, Peterhead Lifeboat Station safeguards mariners along the North East coast of Scotland from Collieston south of Peterhead northwards to Rattray Head.
Emergency: dial 999, ask for the Coastguard.
Peterhead has had a Lifeboat Station since 1865, and over the last 144 years has been instrumental in saving over 1000 souls who encountered difficulties at sea off the unpredictable North East coast of Scotland.
This website has been constructed as a means to give the reader an insight into the operation of a maritime rescue service comprised almost entirely of volunteers who risk their own lives on a regular basis to ensure the safety of people at sea.
