There are a dedicated band of volunteers
- wives and partners of crew and onshore support - who each year
organise a series of fundraising events from soup and sweets to quizzes, bingo nights
and car washes in a bid to raise
funds for the local station. The fundraising committee has dramatically reduced in numbers over the years and is
therefore always on the lookout for new members to help with the various
